Edward Nwachi is the president of RIMLegal. Prior to RIMLegal, Edward was an information management practitioner at Preston Gates Ellis (AM 100 law firm) which later merged with and became K&L Gates. He left K&L Gates to join Huron Consulting Group’s Legal Consulting unit where he focused on providing information management advice and solutions to large multinational corporations including Fortune 500 companies.

Edward specializes in enterprise-wide RIM assessment, RIM program design and implementation, information risk analysis, development of legally defensible RIM policies and procedures, legal hold management, retention schedule development, RIM technology recommendations, executive training and change management.

Examples of Edward’s work include:

  • Developed a large database containing thousands of cross-referenced RIM laws and regulations applicable to US, European, Asian and African companies, institutions and government agencies. The database is possibly the largest of its kind worldwide.
  • Developed legally compliant policies, standards and procedures to guide the implementation and improvement of RIM programs in large multinational corporations and law firms.
  • Designed and directed the implementation of RIM programs in several large organizations.
  • Worked with IT and legal departments to develop specifications for RIM technology selection at several organizations, including specifications for enterprise-wide email, e-discovery and legal hold systems.
  • Developed RIM training programs and conducted training sessions for executives and employees.

Bruce Campbell has over 20 years of experience in developing, implementing and overseeing RIM programs at corporations and government agencies, including management of Classified National Security Information (NSI). Examples of Bruce’s experience include:

  • Draft and execute RIM program policies, procedures, governance and compliance rules.
  • Provide technical skills to develop RIM and related policy management program requirements.
  • Develop and conduct RIM program training curriculum.
  • Communicate RIM program activities through presentations, outreach materials and executive summaries / reports.
  • Lead Vital, Essential, & Sensitive Records (VESR) program and Emergency Planning (COOP) projects.
  • Provide RIM program systems assessment & cost benefit analysis, including “As-Is” and “To Be” scenarios.
  • Draft RIM systems requirements and support RIM systems replacement, conversion, upgrade and migration planning.
  • Lead records declassification, FOIA and appeal processing programs.
  • Lead corporate files inventory tracking / control project.
  • Provide RIM support in e-discovery, litigation and congressional inquiry.
